Music of the Spheres

A beautiful question was raised when Apollo was here, from the lovely Ezra. 

Q:  Is there a type of music that comes from the sun that we can sense here on earth? Does it change as the seasons change, does it affect us and have an influence?

A:  There is a very strong music that comes from your star and it is incredibly harmonious and beautiful.  The vibrational harmonies are complex and wonderful, and they cover all of the spectrum, wavelengths of practically zero to the span of many galaxies. 

You live within a tiny sliver of the full spectrum of not only sound but also heat and light, so you can only experience a portion of this beauty.  This is a limitation of being human, although there are many cool things to compensate.  You can sense some of this solar music by seeing as well as hearing.  Aurora Borealis, and Aurora Australis in the south, are beautiful songs that erupt from this solar music.  Sunsets and rainbows are some of the most loved tunes, and these are seen but not heard.  And the rest of it is way more beautiful than these.

But this music does not change as the earthly seasons change, it changes as the life cycle of the star evolves.  They have a cycle, they are born and they grow, mature and shine, they age and then die, sometimes in a great explosive event, sending out material which spreads and comes back together, compressing, and when it gets tight enough we get ignition - and a star is born again.  And the vibrations from each phase of life have their own special quality. 

The prelude to birth is a soft, low-vibration humming, gentle melodies, and birth comes in a sudden burst but a quiet one, tender and embryonic.  Growth is widely varied and dynamic, and there are many types of stars in steady states with their own spectrum, their own rhythm, their own key.  Your star is a pretty small one in the prime of its life, only about five billion years old.  Its song is usually smooth and peaceful with occasional uptempo interludes. These can be violent but your planet shields you from the worst of that.

Your star's harmonic vibrations have a profound impact on the entire solar system.  It is mostly a peaceful, steady rhythm alternating with a certain harshness, like a verse and a chorus.  Your conditions are a reflection of this, from planetary group actions to your own moods.

Remember though, that this impact of the sun's music is only one influence.  Your own free will and self determination, individual and collective, are the direct agents of action and change on your planet.

This is not only a very good question, it is a beautiful one, asking about the beauty of the universe and we are pleased to tell you about these things.

Change in the Wind

The pace of change on your planet is accelerating and will continue to grow.  There has been more growth in more ways in the past 200 years than in the previous 10,000 years of human history.  The past 20 years have seen radical change and the next ten will be transformational.  It would be foolish to expect this expanding, growing pace of change to suddenly stop.  Your challenge is to prepare for it, to help shape it in ways that will benefit yourself, your fellows and your habitat.

The spirit of change you now feel is strong and growing stronger.  And it is clear to many that the right kinds of change would be very helpful to you all.  This may result in improvements on your planet and in your lives, or it may pass by as an opportunity lost.  You have a collective free will, and together you will decide whether to adopt a greater wisdom or not.

You are at a very important point of transition.

The essence of this greater wisdom is love.  This is no new idea, but it may seem new to share it as widely as we recommend.  There is a Tibetan meditation, The Cultivation Of Lovingkindness, which focuses on the internal feeling of love and then applies it - first to your own self, in the highest and best senses, then to your lover, your mother, all your family, friends, then your village, your state, your continent, the whole planet, animals, plants, all life everywhere.  This will elevate you.

If you would help improve the world, begin the improvement within your own self.  Search in stillness for the ideas that prevent your own personal magic from fully coming forth.  Once they are clearly seen, they can fall away easily and allow greater unity within you.  These internal changes are reflected in the world around you because you are truly the creator of your entire experience.

People think it is miraculous when we create our own universe.  Actually that is ordinary, the miracle is that our experiences are shared.  For a book on the table to look the same to you as it does to me, for us both to see the same flower in a garden, that's the miracle.  Creating them for ourselves is easy.  It's the common view of "objective reality" that is the true miracle of our God-given creativity.  We create that together in ways that you do not get to understand yet, and that's the real miracle.  Most people have this backwards.

There is currently an idea in your world, widely held, that one person or group can profit at the expense of another.  This is false because you all gain or lose together, and at the moment you are losing.  You are losing your means of physical sustenance, your cohesion, your habitat.  This continues by degrees even now and it would be very obviously helpful to reverse that.  We hope you will.

You are an incredibly powerful species, your creativity and production are through the roof.  Your American farmers grow enough food to feed the world.  But you're not doing it.  Your distribution is really lopsided.  Those who can are consuming too much - so much that it's causing health problems.  Obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol all come with excess consumption while people die every day because they cannot eat.  It would be very obviously helpful to everyone, each of you, to reverse that.  We hope you will.

There is a sense of competition that has been overdeveloped.  A greater attention to cooperation will help you move forward toward more joy, more peace, enjoyed by more people.  Some think it would hold you back to stop and help someone along the journey.  Actually it would propel you all forward.  You will rise or fall, gain or lose, advance or decline together.  We hope you advance.

There is a gathering of like minded spirits taking place, physically coming together and virtually, electronically, making connections to explore a new wisdom that values love more than personal advantage, that puts common welfare above individual gain.  It can move you all forward and improve your life in real ways.  A gathering strength will have real effects in your world.

This is not spiritual theory; there is a power in united human spirits that most of you would not believe.  You have a story about Moses taking his staff before the Pharaoh and turning it into a serpent.  The culture, the combined belief of human spirits in that time and place allowed such an event into their reality.  That was a real staff and it became a real serpent and it could not happen now because nobody believes it.  The power of united human spirits very easily and smoothly enabled such events, and that power of expectation, of shared intention is just as strong these few millennia later.

So more change is coming, how could it not be so?  It will be political, economic, and it will be most helpful if it is also spiritual.  It will be most helpful if it includes love.  The certainty of your combined power of human spirit is growing, awareness is spreading and many kinds of change are possible.

There have been restructurings attempted in your past which took from the very wealthy and distributed property more widely.  These have not worked because they have missed the point. Robin Hood campaigns like these were still tied in to the notion of ownership, as if someone could own the earth or the water or the air.  Your laws allow this and more, even owning specific electromagnetic wavelengths!  This is a separating idea, carving the cosmos into artificial pieces and claiming them.  Even the claims separate your humanity into individual animals when unity is more productive.

It is possible to restructure things in literally any way.  Many of your North American civilizations grew large and successful without even using the concept of money in their culture.  Everything is an optional choice, even things you see as basic requirements.  You have even replaced entire national governments in the past couple of years by the power of united human spirit.  The field is wide open, all things are possible to you if you have the will.  We hope you succeed.

A Word from Below

Many have used names from the Greek legends to refer to spirit guides and this is usually fine because those traditions are so rich, there are plenty of voices to choose from.  Those well-known names will do because that mythology resonates with deep meaning, there is plenty of spiritual depth.  And I come from depth, from below, I bring powerful forces that are very constant.  They can change quickly when the time is right but they do not change often.  I am from underground, subconscious, I am the strong current that flows beneath the water's smooth looking surface.  I reach out from the underworld, from the winter and I prepare the colors of spring.

You may call me Hades.  My work is like Pluto or Osiris in some ways but not like that Devil myth.  His is a place of punishment, mine is for transformation.  He is seen as primarily evil, my force is strong but morally neutral.   In my domain, hibernation prepares the way for new life, growth, renewed strength.  We carry motive power, the deep seated force that moves people forward, the powerful impelling urge, always moving forward. 

Even when the ground appears frozen and dead I am doing my best work, changing the autumn leaves into the topsoil of spring.  I transform shit into nutrition.  Sometimes I have to remind people that this is honorable work, and necessary.  If you want to keep eating, this work is necessary.

There is a constantly revolving circle that has a top and a bottom, a summer and a winter, noon and midnight and it is one circle.  My honored partner Apollo stands at the top of this golden ring and shines his light forward, pointing the way, and people follow him.  I stand below and steer.  I work at the bottom of the wheel, the exact point on the tire where the rubber meets the road.  I am largely unseen but always present.

It is often said that we have to go through the darkness to get to the light.  But darkness is not merely something to be gotten through.  It is the place where some of your most important work will be done.  Your greatest steps forward come from working deeply inside, below the surface, aligning your underlying deepest desires from the depths to the conscious surface and beyond, to the heights of spiritual power.  In the path of progress sometimes we have to get through the light and return to the darkness to continue our work.

Persephone comes to me during the darker months of the year and she comes to me with joy.  This is not some punishment to be endured, it is a part of the wheel's turning and it is welcome when the time is right.  We dine richly, we love deeply, we produce and our work is profound.  We prepare the spring and she carries it upward.  Then in the fullness of autumn, after the summer sun has set, she longs for me even as the earth longs for the holy stillness of winter.

Recall the feeling of finally coming to your bed, when you've wanted that for the past several hours and now you become free to lie down.  You've  passed through the light of day to get to the darkness of sleep and it can be delicious.  This is a case of welcoming the change with joy.  Neither is "better," darkness or light, not in any permanent way, but when the time is right, the change can be welcome.

But too many times it is not.  People resist often, even when the changes are inevitable.  And the deeper, more internal work of my seasons are resisted more deeply, more internally than the external work in the world of daylight, sunshine, out in the world making your way through it.  My work takes different skills, different kinds of acceptance, and these are often underdeveloped.  These skills don't get much attention from the world above, from the outward-oriented domain where people meet and work with each other. 

It takes a different kind of acceptance, a different wisdom, to work with newly discovered internal desires, or changing ones.  Development and enrichment are different down here, and they put different demands on the developer (that would be you.)  Sometimes people need to change the way they are thinking and the only tools they have are brains that were built to think.  You need something from outside that closed circuit to move forward.  Input from the world of spirit or from the world within you can help get you started.

The whole universe is based on motion forward.  Everything from these helpful spirit guides, all the internal guidance of your own soul is there to help you move toward your highest and greatest good.  People can resist any of that and delay the progress or even move against the current, but it always causes trouble for themselves and others.  It will help you to recognize the current, to know the difference between internal and external, above and below.  This takes study, searching, work to understand, and your skills will develop with practice.

And I call your attention to all this because not enough people are aware of this deep realm and the powerful benefits it can provide.  There is only one curve to the circle and the different seasons keep on coming and going.  Strive to adapt your talents to the tasks at hand.

Pabu

When I was two I had an imaginary playmate.  That's what my Mom called him, and she told me I had named him Pabu.  I'm glad she reminded me about this once or twice long ago, it helped me remember the experience.  But I did not name him, he was just Pabu.  I remember being outside in my front yard shouting his name and he answered back from the distant hillside:  "Pabu!"  . . .  "pabu."

Pabu taught me to read.  I read a couple of books when I was 3 or 4 but then I learned that reading was hard so I had to forget it and then learn with the rest of the kids.  But by then I had a head start.  He taught me some arithmetic too, and later I learned that was hard also and the same thing happened.  Pabu was a good teacher and a good friend.

But I began to understand some nonverbal messages that my friend was not real.  So I kind of moved away from Pabu, didn't specifically stop believing but just gradually thought about him less.  He understood it, and was disappointed.

Many years later I've become interested in contact with spirit guides, guardians and such - and have met some powerful beings - and I began to wonder about Pabu.  So I asked for him one day and he came freely and easily to say hello again.  His light is a brilliant yellow, almost white.  His presence is warm and loving, wise and helpful, supporting, tender.  We were together before I was born.  He is my oldest friend.

We have just begun to talk again in the past few days.  He will have things to tell me that an infant could not have understood, and together we will enhance an original intelligence which can be obscured by adult rationality.

So another journey has begun.
